The South Lincolnshire based Long Sutton and District Veteran Cycle Club was formed in December 1957 by a group of Wisbech Wheelers Cycle Club members. The club was formed to bring together like minded people with an interest in renovating, collecting and riding of veteran bicycles and tricycles from before 1934.

The club members have a fantastic array of machines including boneshakers, penny farthings, ordinaries, tandems, dursley pedersons, solid tyred safeties and tricycles, these machines can be seen regularly at events and rallies which the club attend throughout the year. The riders of the machines do wear period costume or club colours at these events.

The club is affiliated to the National Association of Veteran Cycle Clubs and have regularly hosted the National rally the last being in 2007.

Every August the Club holds an open rally for NAVCC members this year it is based in Tydd St Mary near Long Sutton please see our rally page for entry details.

This year the club wll be taking part for the 52nd time in the Spalding Tulip Parade on Saturday 5th May 2012, if you are a Veteran Cyclist and would like to take part please contact our Club Secretary, we would love to hear from you.

Veteran cycling is good fun, we have a good social side and camping and caravaning weekends where we ride and display our machines.

In a typical year the club membership of £5 per person gives you entry to over £150 worth of events if you were to pay at the gate of these events.
